In 1994, Art Lambert co-founded LexJet Corporation with his long-time business associate and friend, Ron Simkins. Since that time, LexJet has grown exponentially, and is now recognized as a leader in the professional inkjet printing market. LexJet employs more than 80 associates at its downtown Sarasota headquarters and manages nine distribution centers nationwide. LexJet has been ranked by Inc. Magazine as the 48th Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America and has been named one of the Tampa area’s “Best Places to Work” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Art and Ron’s related investments that strategically complement LexJet’s long-term strategies include ownership of Utopia Digital Technologies, Digital Equipment Company, ABAQA Corporation, and The Professional Digital Imaging Association.

Prior to starting LexJet, Lambert enjoyed a long career with Zenith Data Systems, a $1.8 billion-dollar microcomputer manufacturer. He had a wide range of responsibilities, culminating with the general management of sales, marketing, distribution, and customer service throughout the United States, as well as 50 foreign countries. Lambert received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University.
